Current and Past News at Silver Dollar Raceway **************************** For the '10 Season Sportsman eliminator in the Jerry Barker Motorsports ET Series will be run on the full quarter mile. Cars will be allowed to dial 12.00 seconds and slower. The purse will be $250 to the winner, $100 to the runner up and $50 to the semi final losers. Super Pro and Pro ET will continue to run on the eighth mile. ****************************
Jerry Barker Motorsports ET Racing Series - '10 The Jerry Barker Motorsports ET Racing Series will be conducted as it was last season with the top 12 points earners (who are NHRA members and hold permanent numbers) in Super Pro and Pro along with the top 10 in Sportsman eligible to represent us at the NHRA Summit ET Finals to be conducted at South Georgia Motorsports Park. The High School Representative will be the highest finishing eligible driver (as determined by finishing order and not total points) in either of the three Eliminators. All racing in this series will be one-eighth mile except for Sportsman. The NHRA Summit ET Finals will be conducted entirely on the one-eighth mile. The race of champions will be even more important for the '10 season as the champions in Super Pro, Pro ET, Sportsman and Pro Motorcycle will be competing for division honors at the '11 NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida. In light of this we will be holding the 35th spot on our team for the motorcycle champion in our "Cycle Saturday" series for Summit points. The motorcycle champion will be a member of our NHRA Summit ET Finals team and will represent us at the '11 Gatornationals in the Race of Champions.
The Jerry Barker Chevrolet ET Racing Series
begins with the first race for Summit points on March 6, and continues for 18
scheduled races through the '10 season. Purses are guaranteed for all of these events.
Gold cards good for one entry in each of our '11 events will be earned by the Champions in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman and
Junior Dragster eliminators. The High School Representative will also earn a
gold card good for one entry in each of our events during the '11 season. Entry fees at the
'10 NHRA Summit ET Finals will be paid for all qualifiers. A change will
be in effect for the '10 season as the "King of the Track" will be contested
between the top 8 finishers in Super Pro. This race will be contested
between the top 8 finishers in other eliminators in future years on a
rotating basis.
The points fund will again be guaranteed.
The top eight in Super Pro, Pro ET and Sportsman eliminators will receive the same amount they would
have won for getting down to 8 cars in a 32 car+ event. If the
dial-in-for-dollars money goes beyond the guaranteed amount after paying ET
Finals entries, the extra money will be paid to the top 24 finishers (8 in
S/Pro, 8 in Pro and 8 in Sportsman).
Thirty points will be
awarded for staging and ten points will be awarded for each round won.
Bonus points will be awarded with final round winners getting three,
runners-up getting two and semifinalists getting one. First-round buybacks will be allowed and buybacks will receive points for
rounds won. Rainouts WILL NOT be made up. Points will be awarded and
the purse split for any completed round of competition. Incomplete

than the total number of events conducted.
NHRA permanent numbers and
membership in the NHRA will be required to participate in the Summit ET
